In memory of Nassiriya
Haean, April 10 2007 – A place where grass is green, a white marble and white roses near an italian flag floating in the wind. The memory of italian people died in the 12th november 2003 in Nassiryia, Iraq, is now in Second Life too.
Gray stones on the grass, white marble benches, nature sounds, pine trees and willows nearby clear waters, a red crackleing fire on a white column…
«We have build it in Haean (43,251,84) – Asia Connell explains – coz we are italian citiziens before than avatar and before than journalist».
So, in a 512 sqm plot of green grass land, a placque remembers 19 italian guys victims of terrorism, while in a screen goes on a movie with their name on the military silent notes.
«We all love peace – Connell says – but we’ll never forget those men, their women and their family coz they are part of us, of our lifes, of our sense of humanity and justice and freedom in world».
